Project Life Week 5

I was able to finish 2 Project Life layouts this past weekend so here is my second one. I used the Faithfully Yours Love line for this one. I do plan on changing out the Castaway Bay title for a picture of the whole group of ladies. Somehow I missed getting a shot so I'm hoping someone will send me one. 

I'm not sure if you can see the verse on the right side. It is beautiful and such a wonderful reminder as to how I must act with my family and friends!

1John 3:18 Let us not love with words and tongue but with actions and in truth.

Project Life Week 4

I am trying to do Project Life this year and am already behind but that's OK. I'll just keep plugging away and do what I can when I can. I am journaling every day and printing pictures every week or so. I am thinking I'll share my layouts when time allows. 

Here is my Layout for Week 4 - 

I used the Praise Today line from Faithfully Yours. The vellum quote is from Creative Memories.

Faithfully Yours Topical Tuesday - Worship

It's time for another Topical Tuesday on the Faithfully Yours blog. This week's topic is Worship. I used the Glorious Morning Cutouts and papers from the same line. 

I really enjoyed creating this Layout and studying this topic. It made me think about how I worship, where I worship and what scripture tells me about worship. It provided a wonderful time of reflection.

I found that my vision of worship has changed over time from being something I do on Sundays at church to something I must do every day, all day. There were multiple verses which touched me as I read through my Bible but this verse really touched me. 

Psalm 95:6 Come let us bow down in worship let us kneel before the Lord our maker. 

This challenge ends on Monday April 15th at 11:59 PM and one winner will be randomly chosen to receive a free gift from the Faithfully Yours store.

Plans Fell Apart

Well as you can see my plans for keeping up on my blog didn't work out for me!! I have to admit that the main reason I haven't is I just haven't had the energy to sit down and do this. Work has been really draining lately and I get home and need to be here for my family!  Anyhow, I will give this another try.

I wanted to let you know about the current Topical Tuesday at Faithfully Yours. You can create any type of art - card, layout, tag, etc.... on the current topic which is Covet. If you share your project on the blog you have a chance to be chosen to win a prize from Faithfully Yours.

I have to admit this was a bit difficult for me. I had never really looked at coveting from a Biblical perspective. I learned a lot during my study. I created the following layout which as you can see is a lot of journaling. I just wanted to record my thoughts about the topic rather than worrying about the artistic look. 

For this project, I used the Praise line from Faithfully Yours. The protectors are from the Simple Stories Snap It.

Let's begin....Faithfully Yours Topical Tuesday

As I said yesterday, I am here to introduce the new challenge on the Faithfully Yours blog - Topical Tuesdays.  It is going to be organized by Barbara Graves and will be a wonderful way to reflect and create about your faith.

Here is an overview of it - 

There will be a word posted every 2 weeks on a Tuesday (Topical Tuesday) beginning today.

For Example:

• Topical Tuesday Word 1: (Jan 22nd)
• Topical Tuesday Word 2: (Feb 5th)
• Topical Tuesday Word 3: (Feb 19th)
• Topical Tuesday Word 4: (March 5th)

On the post Barbara will share scriptures, thoughts and some quotes when possible, and a picture of her work.

You will have an opportunity to upload and add photos of your work as well.

At that time you can create a page (or whatever medium you decide) based on the word posted for that week.

Starting Over

It sure has been a long time!! I'm going to attempt to start blogging again and see how it goes. My focus is going to shift a bit. I will continue to share my craft projects especially those that reflect my Faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. However, I will also be sharing my faith and the journey the Lord has me on. 

Faithfully Yours is a site where you can find a lot of wonderful resources to help you start or continue working in your Faith book. Dawn Stegall is the owner of the site and store filled with Christian themed products.

Dawn has started designing her own Christian themed papers and they are wonderful.  She just recently introduced Faith Pockets which are perfect for using with your Project Life protectors. I've chosen to combine my Faith book with my Own Little Word album this year in the Simple Stories Sn@p It album. I will primarily use Dawn's Faith Pockets and paper lines. You can check out the store here. 

Here is my introduction page for this year's album. I used the Mother line from Faithfully Yours - it is a wonderful combination of Bright Pink, Orange, and Yellows.

I'd also like to invite you to join our Faithfully Yours group at Facebook. It is a closed group so you can feel comfortable sharing your prayer concerns and gain support from others. We also share our Faith book creations. There are some incredibly talented and inspiring ladies in the group. You can also like the FaithfullyYours page at Facebook to keep up on the latest information.

Softpencil Studios Day...

It's hard to believe that I used to blog as much as I did since I never have the time now. I do miss it and I miss the friends I had as well.  I guess as they say, "life changes."

Here is my creation for Softpencil Studios this week. I used one of Elizabeth's spring images. As it gets cold in my area, I needed to see a little warmth. I am soooo not a winter person.

I used the Charming Flowers image. When I looked at it this morning, I wished I had added a thin piece of ribbon and a tiny bow at the bottom. 

Remember Elizabeth is closing her on line store on November 30th so you'll want to get your images by then. You will still be able to find her clear stamps at Latina Crafter.
