Thankful Thursday

Just stopping by to share a few things I am very thankful for this morning
   1. The time I spend with God each day
   2. I am so grateful that God never gives up on me and always calls out to me
   3. My wonderful DH who has picked up and taken over so much with household chores and our kids as I have been going through some tough times
    4. My children who can bring a smile to my face!!
    5. The music of Casting Crowns which seems to get me through some of my darkest hours as a reminder of God's love, mercy, and comfort.

Planning to get some crafty time this weekend which means I should be able to share a few projects next week.

Thanks for stopping by!! Hope you have a very blessed day!!!

Blessings and Hugs,

My Faith Goals for 2012

As I mentioned last week, I am going to include my faith more in my creative projects.  This is a layout I did about my Faith Goals for 2012.  I attended a webinar at Faithfully Yours at the end of December and realized if I was truly going to include the Lord in my life I needed some goals for doing so.

I created this layout using the new Faith Goals kit from Faithfully Yours and various other embellishments from my stash.  I was really excited that Dawn asked if she could feature it on the Faithfully Yours blog yesterday. If you visit the blog you can read a bit more about the story behind the layout.  They also have a wonderful Facebook group if you are interested in joining.

It has been a rough 6 months but the one strong and steady has been the Lord. I do not fully understand His purpose for me and my life but trust that in his time I will.

Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Get Hippity With Ippity Challenge #15 - Music

Today starts the new challenge at Get Hippity with Ippity - Challenge #15 - our theme is music.  We figured that Ippity and Unity had lots of great musically themed images it would be a good theme.

Don't forget the AMAZING prize for this challenge is any set of your choice from Aletha's sales blog.  Let me tell you my list grows with each new Ippity release!!!

Here's my inspiration - I did a Layout this time around.  This is one of my favorite pictures of my DH and my girls. I have started an 8x8 album that is going to be filled with LO's of my favorite family pictures. These three truly do make my heart sing - they are the joys of my life.  Their smiles make me smile!

I used the following sets from Ippity -

All of the paper is from my stash so I have no idea where it is from. I also wanted to let you know that Aletha has the Music of My Heart set available too. It is going to be my next purchase!!
'

I am entering this project in the following challenges as well -
Allsorts Challenge Blog - anything goes
Joyful Stamper - Inspire Me Friday

I'd also like to invite you to join our group at The Crafter's Cafe.  You have another chance to win some Ippity goodness by posting your cards made with Ippity stamps.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!!

My Prayer Journal...

I've been on quite a faith journey the past 6 months or so. There has been A LOT of circumstances and events that have led me to knowing that all is according to God's plan and not mine. Just when I felt like life was going back to normal - bam something else came along and reminded me that it is all about God and glorifying Him.

I have started really working to grow my relationship with the Lord and to listen to Him rather than to the world. I am hoping to find time to start sharing some of His love and the grace he has shown me here on my blog.

One thing I know I wanted to do was start a prayer journal. I read Patter Cross's post about using cards for prayers. You can find it here. I really liked the idea so then I set out to find a way to keep mine.  I was digging around looking for a container when I found this -

I made it awhile ago for just this purpose!! I am so excited to finally be using it!! I am pretty sure the template came from Papertrey Ink

I also wanted to let you know that if you already include your faith in your scrapbooks or are looking to start you should check out the Faithfully Yours store.  Dawn has started designing her own line of papers.  You'll find the main site has a lot of fabulous ideas and inspiration.

Thank you so much for coming by!!
Blessings and Hugs!!

Get Hippity with Ippity Challenge #14

Yep it's that time again - a new challenge at Get Hippity with Ippity!! We decided that our first challenge of the month will alternate between a color challenge and a sketch challenge. So welcome to our first color challenge.

All you need to do is use the following palette in your creation. Remember you can create a card, scrapbook layout, ATC, whatever your heart desires!! It just must have the colors below in it. You have until Saturday Feb 19 at 7PM CST to join the fun!!

GHWI would like to thank Jessica at Design Seeds for letting us use her wonderful palettes. I have to say for a color challenged gal like me this is a wonderful blog to help out. I just look at a palette I like and hold my papers to the swatch and match them up and I'm ready to go.

OK enough babbling here's the colors -

Aren't those colors simply gorgeous together. I have to admit it was a bit of a challenge for me to use them. But then again it is called a challenge. Right??

Here's my creation -

The papers were a mish-mosh of scraps I had laying around.  The images are from two Ippity Sets. Of course both are available at Aletha's sales blog!!

And the Now & Always set -

I hope you'll come and join us over at the Get Hippity with Ippity blog for your chance to win a set from Aletha's sales blog.  Also come join the fun at The Crafters Cafe  where we have a group to chat and share our Ippity and Unity creations. I'd love to see you there!!

Thanks for coming by!!

Many Blessings and Hugs!!

This month's challenge is to use purple, pink and red on your creation!! This should be easy peasy with Valentine's Day right around the corner!! Our first sponsor is A Day for Daisies who provided our team with some absolutely adorable images to use.

The winner will be chosen by our good friend random generator. This month's prize is a $12 gift certificate to A Day for Daisies!! Let me tell you I could spend that in about 2 seconds with all the wonderful images Terry has.

I used the Butterfly Friends
