You Are Fabulous

Happy Sunday!! Finally found some time to blog!! I have been blessed with some crafty time lately!!

I subscribe to the Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit and love it!! Every month I receive cardstock, patterned paper, ribbon and fun embellies! I made the card below from the April 2012 Key Ingredients kit.  One of the other cool benefits of getting the kit is that there is an Inspiration Sheet each month. You can either download it or buy a printed copy.  For this card I used the card created by Debbie Carriere as my inspiration!! I just loved how she added the flowers in the corner.

The image is one from my {ippity} set - Where You Should Be. Of course my favorite {ippity} chick is Aletha.

Thanks for coming by today!!

Softpencil Tuesday Inspiration

Welcome to another Softpencil Studios Tuesday!! I hope you enjoyed the 3 blog hops!! It was fun to see Elizabeth's images used in so many different ways!!

Speaking of different - did you know that Softpencil Studios Shop has branched out into stickers, rub ons and even clear polymer stamps.  I was so excited when I received 2 sticker sets to play with. They are even more bright and vibrant in real life than on the website!!

I used the set called "Best Friends" in pink

The sentiment is from the Bedtime Story Pure Innocence set at My Favorite Things. Sure brought back memories. When my oldest was little, we always said "I love you to the moon and back"- then we'd try to add a bigger number of times than each other!! It makes me smile even now!! Of course now that she's 10 those days are gone!

I made this card to hide in my oldest daughter's book bag the morning of her first statewide testing. She has always done very well on them but was exceptionally nervous this year.  I told her all she needs to do her best and that's all we expect. I am hoping finding this in their will make her smile!!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges -

One Stitch at A Time - Anything Goes
Paper Sundaes - Let's get Cute (I hope stickers are OK for this)

As always, thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Blessings and Hugs,

Sunday Sharing

Hope it's a good Sunday for everybody!! I just wanted to stop by and remind you that we have the Rain or Showers challenge happening at Get Hippity with Ippity!!

While, this card doesn't fit the challenge it is one I created using {ippity} images. You can order all your {ippity} stamps directly from Aletha at her blog. Also if you're over at the Unity site and adding some {impity} images to your cart be sure to pick Aletha as your {ippity} chick.

I usually make the cards for the various birthdays, weddings, etc.. at my school. This week is Administrative Professionals day so I made a few cards!!

I used one of my favorite {ippity} sets for this card - oh wait a minute - they are all my favorites. The set used is Music of My Heart.
All of the papers are from this months Key Ingredients kit at Taylored Expressions. I just love how everything arrives at my doorstep ready for me to create with. There is also a wonderful Inspiration Idea Sheet each month!! I also have to tell you, I make A LOT of cards from each kit. I just finished using my March 2011 kit and that's the only one I've completely used!!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges
Robyn's Fetish - use pastel colors only
Fussy and Fancy - punches and dies

Thanks for stopping by!! Hope you have a fabulous week!!
Blessings and Hugs!!

The Crafters Cafe Challenge Blog Inspiration

Yep it's the 3rd Wednesday of the month which means it's time to share another project for The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog. Remember the theme this month is "Spring with pastel colors."

Our wonderful sponsor is Meljen's Designs!! The prize is four (non-colored) images of your choice from her store!! Let me tell you there are some FABULOUS images over there.

Melissa was kind enough to share some of her fun spring images with our DT to help inspire you!!  For this project I used one of Melissa's whimsical word art images - Spring is the Time for Growth.  The sentiment made me think of planting flowers and one needs a wheelbarrow for that right? So I created this wheelbarrow using the Barrow of Blooms template from My Time Made Easy.

While you can't fill this one with dirt, it would make a fun little pick me up gift for a friend filled with chocolates or candies!!

Be sure to check out the rest of The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog's Design Team's inspiration over at the blog! I look forward to seeing your "Spring with Pastel color" creations over at the blog!! You have until the end of the month!!

Thanks for coming by!!
Blessings and Hugs!

Get Hippity With Ippity Challenge #19

If you're looking for my Softpencil Studios post please look here!!

Today I am here to let you know about the newest challenge at Get Hippity with Ippity!! You need to create a project with the theme Rain or Showers. You can make a card, a layout, or ATC whatever you'd like just as long as it has rain or shine incorporated!! You can find all the details and rules for the challenge here.

The prize is a set of your choice from Aletha's sales blog. Have I mentioned that she has AWESOME customer service? Also if you are ordering over at the Unity site and including {ippity} in your order please pick Aletha as your {ippity} chick. (she's in the bottom row)

We've been having quite a mixture of these rain and sunshine here in Ohio so there's been lots of natural inspiration!! Not to mention temperatures up and down, up and down!! :-)

For this challenge I chose the {ippity} set Raining Happy!! This umbrella is adorable and the sentiment is fabulous!! Of course it has to be since it was designed by Tracey Malnofski who is also the artist and owner of the The Stamping Boutique.

Ok on with my card -

This is one of the {ippity} itty bittys.

I've been thinking about using this set for a retirement card but don't know if the person would take it the wrong way. It's not that we're happy they are retiring but that they should be happy retiring. Does that even make sense?

I hope you'll join in the fun. I look forward to seeing your beautiful creations at the GHWI Blog!!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges -
Craft Your Passion - punches and die cuts
Lexi's Creations - punches or dies
Whoopsi Daisy - anything goes
Paper Sundaes -anything goes
Stamptacular Sunday - freeebie - anything goes

Thanks for coming by!! Blessings and Hugs!!

Oh wait please check out my card first!! :-)

This week I used the sweet Charmy image to make a card. I left off the sentiment so that I can use this card for whatever occasion I need to.

Also remember the Softpencil Studios shop now carries clear stamps, rub ons, stickers. I just love all the new goodies available and am sure you will too!!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges -
Incy Wincy Designs - Digis only

A few cards to share

Happy Monday!! It's our first day of spring break!! We didn't plan any trips so its nice to just get up when we feel like it and have no schedule. Of course I was still up at 5am but at least I didn't have to wake and rush the girls for school!!

Here's a few cards I've made over the past few weeks that I haven't had time to share yet.  I used an image from ByLORiDesigns!! I really need to print more of these and find some time to play because they are just adorable!!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges
One Stitch at a Time - Use a digi
Catch the Bug - Anything Goes

Here are just a few more. I have such a hard time making masculine cards so these are pretty basic!! Neither one of these has stamps but they were fun to make. I actually went out on a limb and drew the TV myself. The first card was for Tom Roig our dog sled guide and the second for the Video Club Director at my school who video taped Tom's presentation and made a DVD of it.

As always, thank you so much for stopping by to see my crafty work. Many your week be filled with many blessings!!

Think on These Things Mini Book

Good morning my friends. I wanted to stop by and share a few pieces of a mini album I'm working on.  The idea came from Courtney Walsh's Scrapbooking Your Faith class at Big Picture Scrapbook. I haven't taken any online classes in a while and now I remember why - I'm not good at keeping up or completing them. As in many parts of my life - self discipline is not one of my strongest characteristics. Anyhow, I think this project is one that I will work on over the next few months.

The project is to create a mini book filled with all of your favorite verses, quotes, etc... that touch your heart. It is titled "Think on These Things." So far I have only finished a few pages and they have all been verses. I do have a few quotes I'd like to eventually include.

I wanted it to have a consistent look and since I feel color challenged as well as mixing designer papers challenge, I used Echo Park's Walk in the Park. I figured since they were a line of papers they must all go together well!! :-)

Here is the title page -

The first verse I chose was Philippians 4:11.

I have to admit if I had to do it over again I would make it a single ring at the top of the album because sometimes it is difficult to flip through with the three rings. Since I'm still not very far along I may go back and try to change it by covering the holes and re-punching them.

I'll be back to share more from my little book. Thanks so much for stopping by today!
