It's Tuesday soooo...Softpencil Studios time!!

Hope your week is off to a great start!! Mine hasn't been too bad. I had a great time cropping over the weekend and actually accomplished finishing Natalie's 1st Grade year and Kendra's 4th so I'm only one year behind on Kendra's. I have little finishing touches to make but it feels nice to be almost there.

Anyhow on with my Softpencil Studios creation. I went back to the digi images again. I just love this little Ratiny's Mom with our favorite little guy and cupcakes. Of course I love anything cupcake!!

The cupcake border is a die cut from Taylored Expressions and all the paper is from the April 2011 TE Key Ingredients kit as well.

I'd also like to ask you to keep Elizabeth owner and illustrator of Softpencil Studios in your thoughts and prayers. She has been really under the weather with the flu!!

Finally, I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Digi Makeover Challenge - Anything Goes
Love to Create - Anything Goes
Great Impressions - Die Cuts/Punches

Thanks so much for coming by as always!! I appreciate the time you take!!

Get Hippity With Ippity Challenge #22 Sharing

Welcome to another week!! I hope everyone had a great weekend. We made our first family trip to our local pool on Saturday!! Then on Sunday, the girls gave their Dad breakfast in bed and we just chilled.

This is week 3 of the Get Hippity with Ippity Challenge #22. All you have to do is use the color scheme below and make a paper project of any sort - card, layout, ATC, whatever is your fancy.  The twist this month is to see if you can make it using a wedding or anniversary theme.

Again, our thanks to Jessica from Design Seeds for this awesome color scheme!! I found I loved her color palettes so much that I subscribed to her blog. Now I have a folder set up on my computer for those days when I'm feeling color challenged or just need a little inspiration.

Here's the one for this month. I found this a bit of a challenge but a fun one and I sure hope you'll join us!!

Here's my inspiration piece -

I combined 2 sets for my creation this week....

The first is Bee Better Together
The second is Gurnsey Gingham

You can find these sets as well as any other Ippity sets you'd like at Aletha's sales blog or by choosing her as your Ippity Chick at the Unity website

We also have some really inspirational pieces being posted in our Get Hippity with Ippity groups. You can find a group at The Crafter's Cafe which can be found here and our Facebook group as well for even more inspiration!

There's still 2 weeks left for the challenge and I would love to see how you interpret the color scheme.

As always, thanks so much for coming by!!

Blessings and Hugs,
Melissa

Happy Father'sDay

I hope all of your husbands and father's are having a wonderful Father's Day!! We started with breakfast in bed delivered by the girls. Then Nat gave Allan a pottery sundae she made in art camp last week since he loves hot fudge sundaes.  We all gave him gift cards to iTunes and Barnes and Noble!! So far so good here today.  We hoped to send him off to golf but not sure that will happen as thunderstorms are rolling through.

Here's the card I made for my dearest husband. He is truly a wonderful Dad to his girls!!

I used the {ippity} itty bitty Fore!!!!!  I made the clouds from paper towels and cut the grass using my Cameo.

You can find this set as well as any other {ippity} sets you need at my dear friend Aletha's sales blog!! Also you can pick Aletha as your Ippity Chick at the Unity Site she is on the 7th row.  By the way Unity  having an awesome sale this weekend.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges -
My Sheri CRAFTS - Father's Day
Card Makin Mamas - Father's Day
Charisma Cardz - Male Cards
Do You Stack up - Boys/Men

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you have a very blessed week!!

Softpencil Tuesday!!

Happy Tuesday!! Time for another creation using the wonderful images from Elizabeth at Softpencil Studios!!

Now that I'm on Summer vacation, one of my goals is to try different techniques and types of cards. This week I gave a step card a try and really like how it turned out.  I also used my PSE on the iPad to add the border. Now if I could just figure out how to use Photoshop on my computer, I'd be good to go.

I used the digi imager Lilly

The paper and ribbon are from Taylored Expressions July 2011 Key Ingredients Kit and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.  I used Spellbinders Beaded Ovals that I received from my dear friend, Aletha!!

Remember you can get all kinds of goodies at Elizabeth's store - rubons, stickers, digi images and clear stamps. I am hoping to place my first stamp order this week. I've been rubber/clear stamping more lately and want to have some fun with Elizabeth's images.

I hope you like the project. Be sure to stop by the other DT gals's blogs and see there beautiful work this week. Also, if you haven't already liked the Softpencil page on Facebook we'd love to have you join us there.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges -
Make it Monday - always anything goes
Craft Your Passion - anything goes

As always, thanks so much for stopping by!! I am so grateful to each of you who take the time to look at my projects!! Have a great day!!

Blessings and Hugs,

Get Hippity With Ippity Challenge #22

Happy Monday all!! It's a little bit happier for me because it is the last Monday I have to work until August. I'll be finishing up school with students on Wednesday and my final day will be Thursday. It's a little tough realizing I'm not quite on summer vacation yet since my girls ended school last Friday!!

Ok on with the newest Get Hippity with Ippity Challenge #22. I want to begin by saying we have made a change to our challenge - it is now MONTHLY!!! You will have all month to find time to pull out those {ippity} and Unity stamps well for that matter any stamps you want to enter. Just remember you get 2 entries in the random drawing for using {ippity} and Unity.

As y'all know my {ippity} chick is Aletha and she can be found right here or chosen as your {ippity} chick when ordering from the Unity site.

So here's the challenge -- use the following color palette, provided by Design Seeds, and for an extra twist IF you want to make your project have a wedding, engagement or anniversary theme.

I decided to have give the twist a try and let me tell you it wasn't easy. I decided to make the following card for a friend who just got engaged. I have to tell you when I first saw the set Angie Girl Dream with Your Heart, I thought nope not for me. Then I decided to give her a try and love her!!

Here's what the full set looks like -

I hope you'll join us for our challenge this month. Remember that while an {ippity} or Unity stamp gets you an extra entry in the random drawing you can use any stamp you'd like. The important part is the color palette!!

Hope you have a blessed day!! I'll be back tomorrow with my latest Softpencil Studios creation!!

Thanks for coming by!!
