Get Hippity With Ippity Challenge #10 Reminder

Happy Sunday!! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and weekend. I didn't head out for any Black Friday sales but I did do a bit of online shopping!! I have been so stressed and busy that I haven't done much crafty shopping so I figured it would be OK. :-)  I also know there's one more place to stop tomorrow for a Cyber Monday Sale -

I was able to get some crafting time this weekend. A friend of mine is doing a chinese auction next weekend for her daughter's band/orchestra booster group.  So I spent the whole weekend creating a couple of baskets to use. I'll be back later this week to share them. I still have one to finish between now and next Sunday so wish me luck!!

Get Hippity with Ippity Challenge #10

Welcome to another Get Hippity with Ippity Challenge Post!! I don't know about you but {ippity} stamps are truly some of my favorites and Aletha is my favorite {ippity} chick!! 

The challenge this time is to use embossing on your project.  It can be heat embossing or dry embossing whatever you choose.  You can find all the details on the Get Hippity With Ippity blog! 

Here's my inspiration for you -

I used the snowflakes embossing folder from cuttlebug for the background. The images are all from the {ippity} set Gingham Christmas Greetings which of course Aletha has available here.

Hello again...

Sorry I've been absent for so long!! Our family has been going through a little rough time. It's been difficult but the Lord has blessed us in many ways through our experiences. Our situation has been neither life threatening nor life changing but just rather stressful and has caused me to be busy with life rather than crafting.

I thought we were finally done this weekend but nope it's not to be. I'm ok with that though because I just know that the Lord is watching over us and will be there to see us through. I find my favorite scriptures right now are

"Do not be anxious in anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,present your request to the God." Phil 4:6

"Be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10

I was able to squeeze a bit of crafting in earlier today and created the following card.

                      {ippity} - Friends + Flowers = Priceless

I used the sketch from the current Get Hippity With Ippity Challenge #9.

Volunteer Thank You Gifts

Every year our school has a Scholastic Book Fair run by our wonderful librarian!! I always offer to make the thank you gifts for the volunteers because I just enjoy doing it.  This year she had ordered these nice pens in gift boxes so I decided to decorate the boxes and make matching Post It Note Holders.

Pink is the Word this month...

Today I'm sharing a card I made combining the {ippity} set All Thins are Possible and the Unity Kit of the Month October 2011 Kit!! It's whole theme is Breast Cancer Awareness and it totally rocks!! Unity will be donating $5 from each kit sold to those affected by cancer. So you get all these wonderful images and others will be helped in the process!! Definitely a win-win!!

My best friend, Melissa,(yes I know kind of weird that we share the same name) has been really helping me the last few weeks as I have been one stressed woman!! She helped me realize that a lot of my stress is being put on me by me!! This new set is just perfect for thanking her for always being my friend!!

The sketch came from last week's Splitcoast Stampers sketch. I just turned it on its side!! :-)

Fall {ippity} creations

Happy Sunday all!! The fall temps have definitely set in here in Ohio!! Today is a beautiful sunny day though!! I'm enjoying the fall colors and was feeling a bit inspired by them yesterday.  So when I finished my volunteer thank you gifts. I'll be showing those later this week. I created a few more fall themed cards.
